Awesome food n staff

Decent little breakfast joint. It's owned by Dayton House, so if you're staying there, ask about getting breakfast vouchers. Food is average, but the servers are nice, and if you get a voucher, it's free.

I liked absolutely nothing. It took 30 minutes to get out orders taken, and we waited an hour and 20 minutes and still didn't get served. We walked out and only paid for the drinks with empty stomachs. Terrible.

The pancakes didn't have flavor. The omelets was too thin (used to a little fluff), but good ingredients. They really need to update their plates (black/gray spots) and silverware (rusty spots)!

Great brealfast place, not to expensive considering yoi can eat as much as you want, our hotel gave is a free brealfast here, and we came back every morning because the food was great.

Food wasn't as good as I remembered but was alright. Service was still friendly and good. Our favorite server was still there, she (Patty) made the visit worth while. I am still recommending a try!

It's a local country diner. If you don't expect more than biscuits and gravy, grits, eggs, sausage, bacon, pacncakes, French toast and more... you will be happy with this small country buffet. I was more than pleased.

The booths were very small, but the food was very good.

Very disappointed in the level of service that I received this morning. I watched one waitress service at least five tables at once, while my server (Tiffany) never returned to my table to top my drink off or even bring me my bill. I could hear the staff talking and having fun in the back. The breakfast buffet was fair. I have been coming to this restaurant every summer for the past four years. I will never return. Oh and that other waitress was excellent, Tiffany can learn a thing or two from her.

Staying at the Dayton, we have been here twice now. Great waitress both times, and friendly employees. Good breakfast food as that's all we have had here, especially for the price.

Mananget was horrible charged for everytging. Since we had free coupons charged us for drinks and refills. I would not recommend to anyone

Had late morning breakfast buffet. Suggest going early to get fresher pancakes. Waitress very helpful, bringing us fresh gravy from kitchen and steady refills on coffee.

Johns is know called The Rose Room at Dayton Houses. It is only for Dayton House Resource guess and only service breakfast

Great food clean, friendly. And reasonable price

No buffet here anymore!! Food was worth the prices we paid. Service was lacking. The waitress we had argued with my husband about what all came with his breakfast, even though it was clearly stated on the menu. Will probably not eat here again just because of the service. And because of there not being a buffet anymore.

For past 7yrs John's has been The Breakfast stop for me & my group. Fast, Friendly & Great B'fast menu.Will always come back when in Myrtle Beach.

Lady at front counter with the white blonde hair was coughing everywhere and stirring up the food on the buffett...smh. I ordered off the menu a veggie omelet and pancakes, omelet was cooked perfectly but with no seasoning just bland, THE PANCAKES COULD NOT BE CUT WITH A FORK I'M NOT EVEN JOKING I DONT KNOW WHAT TYPE OF RUBBERY MIX THEIR MAKING THEM WITH BUT I'VE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE THAT IN MY LIFE, I sent them right back! Only after the waiter visited 4 tables every a total of 8 times within a 15min period and finally decided to check on me, I noticed her customer service toward me started dropping after the locals started coming in, and I know they were native to the area based on the conversations I was hearing, with that said I want be back but the cooks were doing a good job greeting everyone and keeping the bar stocked.

Al and I were here on our honeymoon. Dayton House Resort gave us a coupon for a FREE breakfast. The buffet had fluffy scrambled eggs, grits, crispy bacon, link sausage, fruit, French toast, pancakes, warm syrup, donuts, yogurt, the waffle machine as well as a menu with with plenty of choices. Our waitress Patty was wonderful! We came the last day of our trip and Patty remembered our drinks including my milk with side cup of ice. Definitely one of our spots when we visit.

Cool atmosphere, staff was awesome, buffet was good for continental breakfast.

It's ok the food is bland no seasoning only my second time going in 5 years. It was my last.

Overall the staff was nice and we appreciated the breakfast. However the eggs were a little runny and the grits we're bland. During peak times they operate differently with a waiting line outside. During these times I felt like they were stressed and didn't know how to properly respond to our questions. Go early.

Great location with ample parking. Friendly people! clean restaurant. Bacon was a little rancid, coffee could use a lift in bean quality.

Good home style breakfast and great service! 8yr daughter got the breakfast buffet for the fruit, pancakes and waffles. The omelet, pancakes and corn beef hash were great. Definitely will be back!

Convenient with the hotels and pricing is good but breakfast buffet was a little old and cold. Could’ve just been one bad day. Staff was tremendous though.

I don't understand how this place has such great reviews?! The food was mediocre at best. The eggs for the eggs benedict i ordered were almost completely cooked. They're supposed to be runny for eggs benedict. The waitress was incredibly rude. My finance ordered 3 pancakes and was brought two. He pointed it out to her and she questioned him immediately, when she brought his third pancake she threw the plate down in passing, and never apologized. Will never eat here again.

Great place to grab breakfast or lunch. Super affordable considering some of the other places in the area. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend for families.

The food was excellent. The burgers were homemade. It was GREAT to be able to choose breakfast and/or lunch items at the same time. The waitress was friendly. Super clean place, and nice, clean restrooms.
